Abstracts guidelines

Please submit your abstracts according to the given format. You are requested to follow the format carefully for  abstract submission. Abstracts that do not follow the prescribed format will not be accepted.

  • Abstract should be around 250 words.

  • The abstract must indicate title of the paper, purpose of study, research methodology or framework, major findings, implications, and key references.

  • Authors must mention the mode in which the paper will be presented (Oral, Poster, or Virtual)

  • Along with the abstract, the authors need to submit the overall outline of the paper.

  • Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by a panel of experts before it is accepted.

  • Abstract notification or request for resubmission with remarks will be sent within one week of the abstract submission.

  • Online registration form is to be submitted along with the abstract.

  • If a paper is co-authored, either one has to present the paper

  • Co-authors must register separately.

  • Presenters can be asked to rework on their abstracts based on expert review and comments.

  • The review panel has the right to reject abstracts which do not meet the requirements.

  • Late submissions, incomplete registration forms or abstract submitted without registration will not be accepted.

  • Presenters have the option of submitting more than one abstract but only one paper will be selected for final presentation.

  • The file should be sent in the following format. “Name of the author_Abstract” (eg. John_Abstract) to mediameet@christuniversity.in 

 

Full Paper Submission guidelines

  • Maximum word limit: 5000 words, formatted in APA Style Sheet, inclusive of title, abstract, keywords, text, references, graphics, and footnotes.

  • Full papers that do not follow the format shall be rejected.

  • Submissions derived from plagiarized or copyrighted research will be rejected.

  • If the submitted research paper or results have been previously published in another journal, it will not be accepted

  • File should be sent in the following format. “Name of author_Full Paper” (eg. John_Full Paper)   to mediameet@christuniversity.in

 

Types of Presentation

1. Oral Presentation
  • Each Oral presentation will be allotted 20 minutes. This includes the time for moderator’s feed-back and Q & A session.

  • Computers/Laptop and projectors will be provided in each presentation room along with mics for Q & A.

  • Please prepare an extra copy of your presentation on a USB Drive or a CD and carry it along on the day of Presentation.

 

2. Poster Presentation
  • Poster boards mounted on stands will be provided with tape/pins.

  • Posters must be submitted immediately upon arrival to the venue.

  • Poster should consist of the title of the presentation, name of author/s,  necessary illustrations, figures, tables, color photographs, charts.

  • Common dimensions for posters are A0  (47 x 33 inches) (118cm x 84cm). Poster should be well-labeled and easy to read from a distance of one meter. Lettering should be bold. If you will be posting typed material, use a large font size (24 to 30 pt) on white, pale yellow or cream-colored non-glossy paper. Avoid use of non-standard fonts. Use 1-inch margins. Use upper and lower case letters.

  • No audiovisual equipment is permitted for poster presentations.

3. Virtual Presentation

In our effort to assist participants who might be unable to attend because of schedule conflict, illness, etc., we will have a virtual panel set up during the event. The number of virtual panels and presenter slots is limited.

 

Guidelines for virtual presenters are as follows:
  • Select the ‘virtual presentation’ option while submitting application

  • Prepare a 10-minute presentation using video or PowerPoint presentation with an audio track no later than 30 July 2016.

  • Upload your presentation file to our ‘Drop Box’ (details will be provided upon confirmation of registration)

  • There will be  no Q & A session for virtual presentations.
